Darshan Academy, Kalka, was abuzz with excitement as students and staff gathered to celebrate Teej, a significant festival marking the onset of the monsoon season. The school grounds were transformed into a vibrant festival scene, reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with Teej.
The event was graced by the directors of Play Way School, Ms. Saroj and Ms. Neelam, who attended as chief guests. The program began with the lighting of the lotus lamp by the chief guests. Students, dressed in traditional attire, performed folk dances and sang Teej songs. A standout moment was the skit performed by the students, which depicted traditional stories and customs related to Teej. The skit received enthusiastic applause and appreciation from the audience. In addition to the cultural performances, the school organized a drawing and painting competition for children from classes 1 to 4.
Principal Mr. Nikhil Khurana expressed his delight at the successful celebration, stating, “Teej is a wonderful occasion to embrace our cultural roots and bring our school community together. It’s heartening to see such enthusiasm and participation from both students and staff.”
