An inter-school competition was organised at Darshan Academy, Kalka to celebrate National Science Day. Scientist CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize for his groundbreaking discovery in 1930. National Science Day is observed annually to commemorate his achievements and foster a greater interest in Science. The event at Darshan Academy, Kalka included a special prayer meeting and various competitions such as quizzes, poster making, slogan writing, and a debate. The prayer meeting featured children presenting experiments related to science inspired by Dr. C.V. Raman. In the afternoon, competitions were organised for the students in categories like posters and slogans. The children exhibited great enthusiasm for all these activities. Towards the end of the event, the school’s headmaster, Shri Nikhil Khurana, shared information with the students about the practical applications and significance of science in today’s era. He also discussed the life of Dr. CV Raman and the experiments he conducted.
