Art brings people together
We at Darshan Academy, Old Kasauli Road, Kalka firmly believe that art brings people together. Palm Painting Competition was organised on 13th April 2022 (Wednesday). Over 270 students from Pre-Primary to Class 8 participated in the event. The theme of this palm painting was Nature and Human. The primary aim of the competition was to nurture creativity and talent and to promote an artistic bent of mind among young artists. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by a formal welcome address by the Principal, who also shared his thoughts on how the medium of art helps young minds to build their own sanctuary of beauty. Nursery and KG students enjoyed Palm Painting activity in a most funful manner. Under the supervision of their respective teachers, the students dipped their hands in colourful paints and imprinted their palms on chart paper. The hand prints were then cut into different shapes of trees, butterflies etc. The little ones also helped their teachers in pasting their recent photos on the cut-outs.
